Nooskewl has over 30 years experience making games. I have decided to move on from those games and focus on my engine, BooBoo. I have made custom engines for over 2 dozen games before developing Shim, which backs BooBoo. It has been used in 4 complete and polished games, and refined in great detail after each, making it perfect for the job.

BooBoo is a unique programming language with a powerful game API, and a bare minimum game engine that gets out of your way, builtin. The builtin API is limited, like a "PlayStation 2.5" fantasy console. You can also extend the API with the easy to use C++ SDK.
BooBoo can be used without building anything. Just your favourite text editor and asset creation tools are needed to create a BooBoo app. The game engine backing BooBoo has been used and refined since 2018. It uses SDL3 and OpenGL to create a simulated fantasy console experience that is fast and feature rich.
So far to date, the full potential of BooBoo has never been realised in a game. The demos are kept small so one can learn from them.
AshEdit can be used to take advantage of BooBoo's tilemap features. You can also use it in non-BooBoo projects by reading the included file format information.
